Casey Anthony Trial Continues: Watch Live Streaming Internet Video for Latest Updates on Day 17

The trial of Casey Anthony moves into its third week of testimony today. Saturday saw a lot of physical evidence and witness testimony point to a homicide in the case.

For several minutes the judge allowed the jury to view a computer generated composite image of a picture of 2 year old Caylee with her recovered skull superimposed and with the recovered duct tape layered on top of that. It was clear from the image that the duct tape would have covered the little girl’s nose and mouth, suffocating her in the trunk of the car.

Broadcast of the trial proceedings take place Monday-Saturday from about 9AM to 5PM Eastern Time, with a break for lunch from 12-1:30. Video Coverage Continues Today – Watch Casey Anthony Trial Live Here:

At this point in the trial the physical evidence is stacking up against Casey. All of the evidence points strongly to a homicide and not an accident. During trial, the defense tried to discredit the medical examiner for Orange County who declared the death of Caylee Anthony a homicide by undetermined means. The defense tried to get the M.E. to admit that she could not be 100% certain that the child did not die as the result of an accident.

In a very uncertain tone, the M.E. fired back at Anthony’s lawyer saying that 100% of cases in which a child dies by accident result in a 911 call, and that 100% of children who die an accidental death do not then have duct tape placed over their mouths. Sticking by her stated cause of death for Caylee, the state’s medical examiner left no room for doubt with the jury that, based on all of the evidence and her vast experience with deaths, that the little 2 year old was murdered.

Her mother, on trial for killing her daughter, continued to struggle to keep her emotions in check as the experts continued to review the mountain of physical evidence collected from the wooded area where Caylee’s body was dumped and left to decompose and be picked apart by animals.
