Host Glenn Beck not cancelled as previously reported.

While recent press statements and releases indicated that television and radio show host Glenn Beck had his show cancelled, or was fired for low ratings, there is information from the Fox News website that indicates otherwise.

Beck’s contract with Fox was due to expire in December, and there had been some rumors that he was not planning to renew. In the end, a decision was made jointly between Fox and Beck to continue to work with the news channel in a different way.

According to the information from Fox, Beck will work behind the scenes developing and producing projects which will air on the network. Among the outlets expected to air the new programming produced by Glenn Beck is the Fox News Channel and Fox News’ digital properties. Beck has a loyal following on his show which is estimated to average more than 2 million viewers.

Additionally, Beck will continue to broadcast his radio show from which is produced by his company Mercury Radio Arts.
