On Saturday, Nov. 8, hundreds of runners will experience the panorama above the Upper Keys and the eastern edge of the Florida Everglades during the sixth annual Key Largo Bridge Run.

The span of islands which make up the Florida Keys is connected with 42 bridges. This makes bridge running a popular sport in the island chain.

The race, which goes from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., is open for competitors of all ages. Runners can choose from a 10k, a half marathon and 5k run/walk events.

Prize monies are awarded to the top six finishers in all three events’ male and female divisions, as well as the 12 and under age category. All runners receive a medal upon completion.

Entry fees vary depending on the age of participants and the race in which they compete. Complete race information and registration can be found online at: www.keylargobridgerun.com.
