With what the company is calling “the next step towards luxury,” Uber has launched a campaign around its latest addition to its services – uberSELECT.
Uber has garnered a lot of publicity with its innovative approach in the realm of private taxi service. The company is based around a mobile app which allows consumers to summon a private vehicle in cities around the country and it other parts of the world.
The vehicles, ranging from average sedans as the uberX level, to town cars (uberBLACK), and up to large SUVs at the uberSUV level, are driven by independent drivers contracted by the company.
For creating the network and free uber app that connects the customers with the drivers, Uber gets a cut of the fairs. Customers like the app which lets them see vehicles nearby and get updates as the driver approaches.
All billing transactions happen automatically behind the scenes at Uber, so money never changes hands with the drivers – a feature that both the customer and drivers find appealing.
This week, Uber is announcing the latest innovation to their service which is priced at a tier between the uberX and uberBLACK, dubbed “uberSELECT.”
“We know what it’s like to want to impress your friends or that special someone without having to spend a fortune. That’s why we’re introducing uberSELECT – stylish, sleek vehicles like BMWs, Mercedes, and Audis – at an affordable price.”
The company is excited about their latest offering and is soliciting customer feedback via their Facebook and Twitter pages.
