After last week’s eliminations, only the top 13 contestants remain for this season of American Idol. Here’s is how to watch American Idol Online video streams this season:
The producers are calling the American Idol app the, “ultimate companion experience to America’s favorite singing competition,” because it allows fans to “watch and share on-demand videos, join the conversation, and be the first to get the latest IDOL™ news on your tablet or mobile device.”
Also, viewers are able to participate live online during the show by providing their feedback on Idol performances and access other interactive online features using the app.
Last week the field of 15 boys and 15 girls was cut to 5 of each after America voted. In addition to that group of 10 the judges selected an additional 5 contestants who were allowed the opportunity to “sing for their lives” for the 3 remaining spots in the Top 13.
With the final 13 selected, tonight viewers will watch their performances live, and then have the chance to vote through their favorites to the next round. Voting can be done via telephone, text or via the Idol app. Fans are allowed to vote up to 50 times, per method, for their favorite performers.
On Thursday, the results from America’s votes will be revealed on the Results Show and the number of Idol contestants will be reduced further.
