As NCAA football bowl games continue, this afternoon the 6-5 Florida Gators will take on the 8-4 Pirates of East Carolina in the Birmingham Bowl. The game is scheduled for 12 eastern from Legion Field in Birmingham AL.
ESPN will broadcast the game for television viewers, and for those away from the TV today, they can also watch the Birmingham Bowl online using a free streaming live video thanks to the network.

The Florida Gators has a less than stellar season this year, struggling compared to their typical contention for a national championship.
The poor performance has led to a change in leadership for the Gators. As a result, today defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin will coach Florida in the Birmingham Bowl. Next season the Gators will be coached by Jim McIlwain.
Weather for today’s game is expected to be in the mid-50’s with partly cloudy skies.
According to the NCAA game center, the players to watch today are the Pirates quarterback Shane Carden and Florida Gators wide receiver Demarcus Robinson.
Carden ranks second in the FBS with 4,309 passing yards, and threw 28 touchdown passes this season. Robinson meanwhile leads the Gators with 47 receptions, 774 yards and seven touchdowns.
