Watch Live: SpaceX Rocket Launch to ISS on 3rd Cargo Mission for NASA

Watch Live: SpaceX Rocket Launch to ISS on 3rd Cargo Mission for NASA After Monday’s attempt to launch the SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket, and the Dragon spacecraft, to the International Space Station (ISS) had to be scrubbed due to a helium leak, the second attempt is underway this afternoon.

Viewers can watch the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch live online or on television courtesy of NASA TV and the live video stream it provides to internet viewers. NASA TV is currently showing the launch coverage with a scheduled lift-off of the Dragon Spacecraft, atop its Falcon 9 rocket, at 3:25 p.m. EDT today.

The NASA TV video stream is a great way for those without the channel on their television programming to watch today’s SpaceX launch, and other NASA TV programming, online with live and replay video coverage.

The weather is not ideal for a launch today with a substantial amount of cloud cover and rain across Central Florida and the Kennedy Space Center. At this point, however, the launch is still proceeding on schedule.

On this 4th mission, including the first test flight, the Dragon spacecraft is carrying to the space station almost 5,000 pounds of science and research, crew supplies, vehicle hardware and spacewalk tools — all to support the crew and more than 150 scientific investigations planned for Expeditions 39 and 40.

If today’s launch has to be rescheduled for weather, or any other factors, the next launch window is available on Saturday (april 19) at 3:02 p.m.

If all goes well with today’s Falcon 9 Launch, viewers will also be able to watch NASA TV and online coverage of Dragon’s arrival at the space station beginning at 5:45 a.m. Sunday, April 20.
