The second leg of the triple-crown take place today with the running of the Preakness Stakes. With so much action surrounding the race itself, NBC sports is providing enhanced coverage allowing viewers to watch the Preakness Stakes online via a free live video stream, plus replay video after the race.
As the network did for the Kentucky Derby, NBC is covering today’s Preakness with video streaming through its Live Extra website and mobile app, in addition to the television coverage on NBC and NBCSN.

To watch the Preakness online, computer users can log in to the NBC Live Extra web site, select their television provider from the list and begin to watch the video stream.
Those who want to watch on their mobile devices, can do so by simply downloading the free Live Extra app to their smart phone or tablets. This allows them to watch today’s Preakness, and other sports events “anytime, anywhere,” as the NBC sport tag line indicates.
Prior to the NBC coverage of the race at 4:30pm, the network, including the online coverage, will begin a broadcast of pre-race coverage beginning at 1pm eastern on NBCSN.
