Although he was not arrested, actor Shia LaBeouf, best known for his work on the Transformer films, was detained Friday night while police sorted out the facts surrounding an altercation in a bar.
Although one person told reporters that the actor was acting up and was eventually punched in the face, others including the staff at the bar tell a different story. According to them, there was an argument between Shia and a man who wanted to take his picture, and eventually the actor was attacked while he was leaving the bar.
When the police arrived at Bull’s Tavern in Sherman Oaks, CA, where LaBeouf is something of a regular, they reportedly detained everyone involved while they sorted out the facts.
In the end, there were no arrests made and all were released without any charges. LaBeouf has just finished up work on the third film in the Transformer series. The film is scheduled for release as a summer blockbuster in a few more months.
