Will Ferrell Moving Back to Television

Since leaving Saturday Night Live, Will Ferrell has had a very successful career as a film actor. Home audiences will once again get the opportunity to enjoy the comedic star from the comfort of their couches.

NBC has announced that Ferrell will join the cast of their hit show “The Office”. Like Steve Carell’s character, Ferrell will play a branch manager with the company and will undoubtedly create havoc in the office, also like Carell. What is currently a source of speculation, however, is how long Will Ferrell will be in the cast.

While it is public knowledge that Steve Carell is leaving the show, no one knows exactly when or how his character will make his exit. The announcement that Ferrell will be a guest star on the show for 4 episodes, playing a character with the same job as Carell, has led to speculation that perhaps Ferrell will replace Carell, and stay with the show indefinitely.
