Brett Favre Fined $50,000
As Brett Farve closes out what will likely be his final season in the NFL, he also closes the door on a scandal which has cast a shadow on and otherwise hall of fame career. For what they cited as a “Failure to cooperate” in the investigation, the NFL made the decision to fine Farve $50,000. To date however, no charges have been filed against him, and no settlement has been reached with the alleged victim, Jenn Sterger.
The only thing that has taken the spotlight off of the scandal for Farve, has been the poor performance of his team the Minnesota Vikings. Now out of the playoffs, the team finished the season with Farve on the sidelines for the last 2 games bringing and end to his record of consecutive starts.
