Reese Witherspoon Hit by Car: Recovering after being Treated at Hospital for Injury
According to a statement from the Santa Monica Police, Witherspoon’s injuries were considered minor and were treated after the 35-year old actress was taken to a hospital near the site of the accident. Witherspoon was released from the Santa Monica hospital shortly after treatment.
The driver who hit Reese Witherspoon with her car was an 84-year old woman. According to the police report, the driver was cited for a failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, and was traveling at about 20 miles per hour at the time she hit Witherspoon.
Witherspoon, a well known and respected actress, most recently appeared on the big screen in “Water for Elephants” and also recently received the Generation Award at this year’s MTV Movie Awards.
