– Creedmoor, NC Blazing the nets shooting nearly 60% from the field, Christian Faith Center Academy (CFCA) National Conquerors’ get revenge over Upper Room Christian Academy in their final game of the Davie Currie Invitational in Red Springs, NC today, winning 83-71.
“We were able to get their two best players in foul trouble early and take advantage of the situation. In the fourth quarter, they made a strong run to get back into the game, but our guys showed resiliency in not only taking their punches, but also fighting back,” says Coach Ro Russell.
Xavier Rathan-Mayes led five CFCA players in double figures with a solid, overall game including 21 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals. Also stuffing the stat sheet were Mikyle McIntosh (19 points, 5 rebounds), Kevin Thomas (17 points, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks, 3 assists, 3 steals), Kaza Kajami-Keane (14 points, 3 assists), and Rashid Williams (10 points, 4 rebounds).
The Conquerors’ next competition will be on Tuesday, November 23 in Winston Salem as they face Quality Education Academy again for the third time already this season.
