All Detergent Company Reduces Waste and Donates $50,000 to Help Encourage Earth Day Resolutions

All detergent mighty pacs reduce waste and energy - company donates to support Earth Day

To help motivate individuals to take an active role in making the world a better place as we celebrate Earth Day for 2012, All® laundry detergent announced that they are partnering with others to encourage people to make and keep their Earth Day Resolutions.

For Earth Day, the company has partnered with Keep America Beautiful (KAB), the nation’s largest volunteer-based community improvement organization. The goal through the partnership is to encourage Americans to resolve to make the world a greener place while making their clothes clean and bright.

According to the information from All, the average family washes one load of laundry per day. To help reduce chemicals released into the environment, the company has developed what they call the all® mighty pacs™. These areare pre-measured single doses of 50% more concentrated detergent than our standard liquid detergent.

Using these detergent packs is just one easy way to keep an Earth Day resolution to reduce your environmental impact by reducing waste, shipping, and energy use during when washing your laundry. Additionally, starting on Earth Day and running through May the 5th, All will donate $1.00 to KAB for every purchase of the new all® mighty pacs™, for a total donation of up to $50,000. .

“Consumers are always telling us they want to do what’s right for the environment, but they aren’t willing to trade performance for ‘green’ products,” said Michael Lyons, Senior Brand Manager all, Sun Products. “As 25% of Americans don’t recycle4 it’s important that we continue to develop products that use less packaging without compromising performance. Since 2006, all has been a leader in packaging reduction with the launch of all® small and mighty™ and most recently with the launch of all mighty pacs, which tested extremely well with consumers.”

Doing their part, Keep America Beautiful (KAB) serves communities nationwide through beautifying public lands, implementing local recycling programs, restoring vacant lots, preventing and removing graffiti, planting trees and creating community gardens.

“When making Earth Day resolutions it’s not necessary to overreach, because it’s the small steps we take together that can add up to a big difference for the environment,” said Matthew M. McKenna, president and CEO of Keep America Beautiful. “Keep America Beautiful is thankful for the support of all mighty pacs in helping us spread the word and fulfill our mission of engaging individuals in greener choices and actions.”
