Watch Video of NASCAR Denny Hamlin Crash with Joey Logano in Auto Club 400

As is almost always the case with a NASCAR race, some metal was bent on Sunday in the Auto Club 400 race in Fontana on Sunday. For driver Denny Hamlin however, the day ended with a trip to the hospital.

It was on the final lap that Hamlin got tied up with Joey Logano on the final lap and ended up going hard and nose first into the wall. Watch the video below from the NASCAR crash in Fontana which sent Denny Hamlin to the hospital.

Although Hamlin did get out of the car himself, he soon slumped next to the vehicle before being transported to the hospital by air. Twitter reports from Hamlin’s girlfriend, Jordan Fish, said: “He’s alert n awake, main concern is his back #PrayersforDH.”

In the end it was Kyle Busch who won Sunday’s race, and Logano came in third, despite the collision with Hamlin. Many in NASCAR admit that they expected something like this given the rivalry between Hamlin and Logano.
