With as many as 2,500 consoles purchased per minute, the reported online pre-order Amazon sales of the new XBOX one and Playstation 4 (PS4) are driving Amazon sales through the roof. According to sales figures released, the per order sales online of Xbox one and PS4 have contributed to the biggest pre-order week ever for Amazon.
With video game play continuing to rise in popularity, it should come as little surprise that the new release of the next generation of Xbox and Playstation consoles are so popular. According to reports from Amazon, the first day of pre-orders for PS4 and Xbox One were almost double that of all video game sales on Black Friday in 2012 for the online retail giant.
Amazon reports that Xbox One pre-orders are currently in stock on Amazon, and the site is also offering a variety of bundle deals on the new PlayStation 4 pre-order. But interested consumers should not wait long. Given the current sales frenzy, supplies may not outlast the demand.
