In a statement to the press yesterday, the Prince William and Kate Middleton announced the name for the Royal Baby. The newborn Prince of Cambridge has been given the name of George Alexander Louis.
The statement, released from Kensington Palace yesterday read, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son George Alexander Louis.”
Now third in line for the Royal Throne, behind Prince Charles and Prince William, the new Royal baby’s official title is His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge.
According to the official announcement from Kensington Palace, the Royal baby boy was born Monday July 22, 2013 at 4:24 p.m. London time. Young Prince George of Cambridge weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces at his birth.
The Royal couple is reportedly currently spending some quiet bonding time with their newborn prince.
