A-Rod Banned for Life? Baseball Decides Fate of Yankees Alex Rodriguez

A-Rod Banned for Life? Baseball Decides Fate of Yankees Alex RodriguezThe USA Today reports that Bud Selig, the commissioner for Major League Baseball (MLB) may be handing down a lifetime suspension from baseball for the Ney York Yankees’ Alex Rodriguez, known to fans as A-Rod.

According to the report, no official announcement is expected until sometime later today or on Friday. However, most analysts agree that the lifetime ban for A-Rod is a near certainty.

In addition to Rodriguez, the report says that another eight players will receive suspensions from baseball. Unlike A-Rod, the other players banned from MLB will only be suspended for 50 games.

The suspensions are the result of the investigations into the use of performance-enhancing drugs among a number of players in baseball linked to a clinic in South Florida called Biogenesis.

A-Rod’s attorney said that they will appeal any suspension that is handed down from the league.

Some of the other players likely to be suspended from baseball are Rangers’ Nelson Cruz, Padres’ Everth Cabrera, and Detroit’s Jhonny Peralta according to the USA Today report.
