The start of November typically ushers in the start of the holiday shopping season and with that comes the retail announcements for Black Friday shopping deals, discounts and bargains. Online retailers like Amazon.com are of course included in the mix with online sales numbers which tend to swell to larger amounts with each season.
Last week, while traditional in-store retailers made announcements regarding their hours of operation and released Black Friday ads and circulars, Amazon announced that online shoppers can visit the retail giant’s web site to get a look at all of the items which will be on sale as part of the company’s Black Friday Deals Week promotion.
On its web site, the company writes, “2014 Black Friday deals–find this year’s lowest prices and sales on electronics, video games, DVDs, and more.”
“Black Friday 2014 is almost here, but we didn’t want you to wait until the day after Thanksgiving for Black Friday deals, so we kicked off the savings a little early. We are counting down to the big day with even more deals, all day, every day. You’ll find Amazon’s fantastic early Black Friday sales right here.”
In a section of the web site which Amazon refers to at the “Countdown to Black Friday Deals Week,” the company breaks up the thousands of sale items into three groups. These are items that are currently available to buy now (dubbed “Today’s Limited-Time Deals”), Upcoming deals and discounts, and Missed deals.
Not surprisingly the variety of items ranges across the seemingly endless array of categories for which Amazon.com has become so well known.
Visitors to the web site, as well as Amazon Prime customers are invited and encouraged to subscribe to Amazon’s daily deals e-mails so as not to miss out on any Black Friday or other shopping deals.
