When the police arrived on at his home, Marshall told them that he had slipped and fell onto a broken glass vase. After further investigation, it was apparent, based on the scene, that his statement was false. Eventually, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brandon’s wife, Michi Nogami-Marshall, on Friday evening and charged her with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. In the arrest report, Nogami-Marshall said that she was defending herself from her husband.
In a statement, Brandon’s agent Kennard McGuire said, “This is a very difficult time for Brandon and family, thankfully he will make a full recovery.”
This is not the first issue with violence between the two. Brandon Marshall was actually arrested back in March 2009 after a fight between Marshall and Michi who was then his fiancée. Brandon was aggested for misdemeanor battery, but the charges were dropped after neither one wanted to testify. The two were later married this past July and have been living in Miami since Brandon was traded to the Dolphins by the Broncos.
Nogami-Marshall remains in jail today on $7,500 bond.
