Casey Anthony Trial Closing Arguments: Watch Live Streaming Internet Video as the Attorneys Present Closing Statements

Today the defense and the prosecution in the Casey Anthony trial will present their closing statements to the jury. The closing arguments will bring and end to the trial and will allow the jury to begin its deliberation and return a verdict.

The judge gave the attorneys the day off from court yesterday to prepare for their closing statements in the case. This was after some heated exchanges between the attorneys, as well as some strongly worded warnings to Casey’s defense lawyer Jose Baez. The judge felt that, during court on Friday, Baez was trying to drag out the proceedings by requesting a lot of additional time to depose some witnesses.

It is not clear how long the jury may take to return with a verdict in the case. The members have been sequestered by the courts for over a month while the trial has continued and are likely anxious to see their families again.

Casey Anthony is on trial for the murder of her then 2 year old daughter Caylee Anthony back in 2008. A month after her daughter was last seen by anyone, Casey finally told her mother that the little girl was missing. At the time she said that the babysitter had taken the child. But as it turned out, the babysitter who Casey had always said was watching little Caylee never existed. It is not clear what Casey was doing with her daughter when she was not with the Grandparents, and was supposedly with the babysitter.

This is one question that no one has appeared to ask, and now we may never know. But if the baby sitter, “Zanny the nanny” as Casey called her, never existed, where was she leaving her daughter all those times?
