After an unexpected and unexplained recess of the Casey Anthony trial around 9:30 AM on Saturday, the trial is set to get underway again today at 8:30 AM. The opening of the trial today should answer some burning question among the legal experts and media analysts which cropped up after Saturday’s sudden recess.
Judge Belvin Perry placed the trial in recess but was not specific in the exact reason. The judge told the court that there were some legal issues to be worked out. Over the weekend many in the media had speculated as to the reason for the break.

Speculation has included a last minute plea deal, witness tampering, as well as issues related to witness testimony and/or evidence not properly shared by the prosecution. Perhaps the biggest question poised by the media over the weekend will finally be laid to rest. Will there be a mistrial?
