Additionally, on this Earth Day, guest shopping at any Disney Store, who bring in five used plastic bags for recycling, will receive a free re-usable shopping tote featuring the young chimpanzee, Oscar, the star of the “Chimpanzee” film.
For each Oscar plush toy purchased through May 13, Disney Store will donate $1 to the Jane Goodall Institute through the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund to protect chimpanzees today and tomorrow.
“Disney Store hopes to inspire families to make small changes to go green in their household, because with all of us working together we can have a big impact,” said Jim Fielding, president of Disney Store. “Earth Day is an opportunity for everyone to think about how we can help the environment.”
Disney Store’s product assortments, shown here, also spotlight a conservation fact and actions guests can pledge through Disney Friends for Change. Guests can pledge at disneystore.com/ffc and their actions will be posted on the Disney Store Times Square Spectacular in New York City.
