Rain is still a big possibility at the space center today, and at last report the mission is still somewhat in doubt because of the weather. The NASA TV, and the related internet video feed, currently show the astronauts making final preperations and getting strapped into shuttle Atlantis for the final launch of any space shuttle in the NASA fleet.

Just a little over 2 hours left in the planned launch countdown. The launch is scheduled for 11:26 AM Eastern time today from launch pad 39A at KSC. The 12 day mission to the International Space Station, with a smaller than usual 4 person crew, is scheduled to be the last shuttle mission ever. After Atlantis and the crew deliver supplies to the ISS, the shuttle will be retired to a museum along with the rest of the space shuttle fleet.

Viewers not able to make it to the space center for the lanuch can watch the lanuch alon with completed mission coverage over the internet with the live feed streamed from NASA TV.
