Lopez and Anthony
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony announced plans for divorce on Friday. The couple has been married for seven years and has two children — twins Max and Emme age 3.
The couple released a statement yesterday saying “This was a very difficult decision,” the couple said in a joint statement. “We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time”.
A senior music editor of Us Weekly, said the couple’s breakup wasn’t a surprise and that Lopez’s role on “American Idol” and the success of her new album likely had something to do with the breakup.
Lopez’s marriage to Anthony was her third. It was the second marriage for Anthony.
