PerkinElmer is announcing the release of its new app ChemDraw and Chem3D for the Apple iPad. This new release of ChemDraw, scheduled for Tuesday June 4th, will make the highly coveted scientific tool available for the mobile computing world.
ChemDraw was first launched as part of the original Apple Macintosh in 1986. Since that time ChemDraw has been considered the gold-standard software suite among scientists worldwide. This amazing scientific modeling software tool allows them to draw, study and save molecules and chemical reactions.
This new launch of ChemDraw and Chem3D in a mobile form is considered a major milestone in the field of scientific computing. The new functionality of the mobile ChemDraw app may change the way chemistry is learned and shared amongst the scientific community. The new mobile app features a Flick-to-Share technology, a groundbreaking development that brings molecular education to a new level, giving teachers, students, and professional chemists a new tool to bring chemistry to life.
Flick-to-Share functionality in the ChemDraw and Chem3D mobile app gives users the ability to:
•Easily and rapidly share molecular structures across mobile devices
•Requires only a single finger swipe gesture to transfer images from one to another user regardless of geographic location
•Eliminates the need for multi-step emails or cloud storage services
