New “Flap Happy™” Father’s Day Cards Unveiled by American Greetings

The date for Father’s Day 2012 is this coming Sunday June 17th. To help honor Dads everywhere on this special day, leading greeting card maker, American Greetings, has released a special Father’s Day card which they have dubbed the Flap Happy™ Father’s Day card.

With a focus on the love and laughter that dad has provided over the years, the new Flap Happy™ cards are “an all-new line of humor cards that really pack a punch line,” according to the company.

All of the cards in the new line up feature three flaps on the inside. When the flaps are lifted they trigger a surprising and humorous sound which is in line with the theme of the individual card. Among the themes in the new line of Father’s Day cards are beer and sausage, golf, and the “ultimate mantasy cave.”

“These cards are so much fun because they offer an all-new twist on the playful lift-a-flap books that we loved so much as kids,” said Carol Miller executive director of new product concepts at American Greetings. “We know they’ll be a big hit with dads as they lift each flap to uncover the surprise sound and enjoy the big laughs inside.”

The newly released Flap Happy Father’s Day cards can be found at participating retailers of American Greeting cards including most drug store chains, grocery stores and greeting card stores.
