With no jackpot winner in Saturday’s powerball lottery, the estimated jackpot is currently estimated at $425 million according to sources. No one matched all six numbers, including the powerball in the drawing Saturday night.
The winning powerball numbers on Saturday were 22-32-37-44-50, and the Powerball was 34. With the current record powerball win at $365 million, set back in 2006, Sarurday’s jackpot was already set to break that record.
Now with no jackpot winner, the next Powerball drawing on Wednesday is expected to continue its growth, and will definitely set a new record, expected to be in excess of $425 million. If no one gets all six winning numbers correct on Wednesday, the powerball jackpot will roll over again and continue to grow.
Some 42 states, along with the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands, currently participate in the Powerball lottery. An individual can buy a Powerball ticket from within any of the participating states or territories. The price of a powerball ticket is $2 for a single pick of 5 numbers and 1 powerball number.
