The winning numbers for Powerball from Tuesday November 2nd, were matched for only a single winner of an estimated $245 million jackpot. While they have not come forward yet, the winner, who matched the powerball winning numbers of, 12 – 14 – 34 – 39 – 46 – 36, bought the ticket in Connecticut.
The jackpot represents one of the largest jackpots won by a single winner in Powerball history.
While only one person hit it big on Tuesday, because of the amount of players and money involved, there were still some other big winners who did not match all numbers for the jackpot.
Reportedly a $40,000 winning ticket in the Powerball drawing was sold in Rhode Island. That ticket matched 4 of 5 numbers plus the powerball. While this type of match would usually only pay the winner $10,000, because the purchaser of the ticket paid an extra $1 on the ticket. The Powerplay number for Tuesday’s drawing was 4 so the match 4+1 winner quadrupled their winnings.
So far no one has come forward to claim that prize either, but state officials report that it was sold at Shop N’ Go, 253 Greenville Avenue, in Johnston, RI.
