Fox News and ESPN are among those reporting that Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice’s future has not yet been discussed officially by the organization since his arrest over the weekend. Rice was arrested on Saturday morning at a New Jersey casino.
According to reports Atlantic City police arrested Rice Saturday morning after the NFL player got into an argument with his fiancée.

The police told reporters that both Ray Rice and Janay Palmer were arrested on simple assault charges and subsequently released on a summons after the incident at the Revel Casino.
Rice’s attorney Michael Diamondstein said that he’s hopeful that after an investigation “the matter turns out to be little more than a misunderstanding.”
Meanwhile, when asked about Rice’s future with the Baltimore Ravens, general manager Ozzie Newsome said today that would not make any decisions until all of the details were clear.
“I have not had a chance to talk to Ray,” Newsome told reporters. “I really don’t know that situation. With me, I get all the answers. Then that’s when we make decisions within this organization — once we get all the information we can get.”
“Neither John or I at this point have spoken with Ray,” Newsome said referencing his earlier meeting with head coach John Harbaugh on an unrelated team matter. “I’m sure within the next 24 hours one of us will.”
All indications from the Ravens organization appeared that, at least for the time being, Ray Rice still has a future with the team for the upcoming 2014 NFL season.
