Benton criticized the fact that Ron Paul received very little questioning from the moderator during the televised debate. “Congressman Paul was only allocated 90 seconds of speaking in one televised hour. Benton called CBS’s treatment of Congressman Paul “disgraceful” and reminded the media that Paul, as both a veteran and a member of congress serving on the House Foreign Relations Committee, has a good insight and a lot to say about foreign policy and national security. Both of these topics were the primary focus of Saturday’s debate.
Citing polling data, Benton went on to say that, “Ron Paul consistently polls among the top three in the key early voting states of Iowa and New Hampshire. He is polling in double digits in most respected polls.
