Saturday Evening Post Reveals Top Tablet Reviews Among Smaller TabletsWhile the holiday shopping season may be over, the interest and demand for tablet computers, like iPads, Kindles, Nooks and other has not diminished. To help consumers find the right tablet for their needs, a recent article in the January/February issue of The Saturday Evening Post aimed to break down the mystery and has provided a review of 4 of the most popular small tablets.

With sizes in the 7 to 8 inch range, each of the tablets feature similar functionality when it comes to e-mail, video, music, e-books, and Web browsing. Here is how the Post rated their top picks:

1) Apple iPad Mini
• Size: 7.9 inches
• Price: $329 for a Wi-Fi model
• GB: 16
• Overall verdict: The upscale option in a crowded market.

2) Amazon Kindle Fire
• Size: 7 inches
• Price: $199
• GB: 16
• Overall verdict: Doesn’t come close to matching the iPad’s, but it includes apps like Angry Birds, Facebook, Pinterest, and Skype.

3) Google Nexus 7
• Size: 7 inches
• Price: $199
• GB: 8
• Overall verdict: Usable but not as pretty as apps written specifically for the nexus 7 and other slates that run Android software. Still, the value is excellent.
