The Endeavour had delivered Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) to the ISS during the mission. Also transported from the Earth to the orbiting laboratory were some spare parts including two S-band communications antennas, a high-pressure gas tank and additional spare parts for Dextre the recently added onboard robotic assistant for the ISS crew.
Leading the crew of Endeavour’s final journey into space was Commander Mark Kelly. Pilot Gregory H. Johnson will be at the controls to make the final landing for the shuttle at the Kennedy Space Center, currently scheduled for a dramatic nigh-time touchdown at 2:35 a.m. on Wednesday.
The rest of the crew included Mission Specialists Michael Fincke, Greg Chamitoff, Andrew Feustel and European Space Agency astronaut Roberto Vittori.
