Space Shuttle Launch: Endeavour Ready for Final Launch Tomorrow

STS-134-Crew Shuttle Endeavour

STS-134 Crew for Shuttle Endeavour

With the final launch of Space Shuttle Endeavour just a day away, the technicians at NASA Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Pad 39A continue preparing the space shuttle for launch.

STS-134 Commander Mark Kelly and his crew awoke at 6 a.m. EDT to continue their prelaunch activities, and there will be a Countdown Status Briefing at 10 a.m., live on NASA TV, to provide an update on the countdown and weather forecast.

The crew members for space shuttle Endeavour’s STS-134 mission are Commander Mark Kelly, Pilot Gregory H. Johnson and Mission Specialists Michael Fincke, Greg Chamitoff, Andrew Feustel and European Space Agency astronaut Roberto Vittori.
This will be a scheduled 14-day mission during which Endeavour and its crew will dock with the International Space Station and deliver the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) and spare parts including two S-band communications antennas, a high-pressure gas tank and additional spare parts for Dextre.

Currently there are no concerns to prevent an on-time launch just before 4PM eastern time tomorrow. Live broadcast of the launch can be viewed on NASA TV and over the internet at the NASA.gov web site.
