Val Kilmer facing IRS problems
Following the success of the movie Top Gun in 1986, Val Kilmer appeared in a number of moderately successful films. One of his better performances was for his role in the movie Heat. Since then the once familiar face had retreated from the big screen. For the second time the star has landed himself in trouble with the IRS.
In 2009 Kikmer had a lien placed against him to the tune of $538,000 by the IRS. Kilmer eventually settled the debt with the IRS according to reports. At the time the actor had put is 5300 acre ranch in New Mexico on the market for a reported $33 million. The property has not sold and is currently listed for $18.5 million.
Once again, however, the IRS is claiming that Kilmer owes additional taxes from 2008 resulting in a half million dollar lien on his property.
