While Toy Story 3 seemed to end with some sense of closure to the story, it may not have been the final chapter. In addition to recent rumors of a Finding Nemo 2 movie, new rumors are beginning to gain momentum pointing to a Toy Story 4 movie in the near future.
IMDB, the international movie database, which is a resource providing information about all films including cast, writers, directors, plot, etc., has posted a listing for Toy Story 4. The listing indicates that the plot is not defined, but it does list writers and drectors, as well as a list of the returning cast members including Tom Hanks and Tim Allen in their familiar roles as Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
Much of the early buzz about a Toy Story 4 started last year when Tom Hanks said in a BBC News interview that he believed that Toy Story 4 was already “being worked on.” The unconfirmed reports come on the heels of reports that a director has been selected for Finding Nemo 2. Rerport indicate that Andrew Stanton, who directed the first film, will direct the Finding Nemo Sequel.
So far neither Disney nor Pixar has commented to confirm the reports about the films. Pixar, however, has confirmed that a Monsters Inc. sequel is in the works. The animated film, which hopes to follow in the success of its 2001 predecessor, will be titles “Monsters University” and is scheduled for release next summer on June 21 in 2013.
