US Heads to CONCACAF Gold Cup Soccer Final after Win over HondurasOn Wednesday night the United States Men’s soccer team won against Honduras during the CONCACAF Gold Cup soccer tournament. The win against Honduras has secured a place for the US Team in the CONCACAF Gold Cup final.

During Wednesday night’s 3-1 win over Honduras, the US team’s Landon Donovan scored 2 goals and helped to set up the third. According to a report from the Boston Globe, the US Men’s soccer team coach Jurgen Klinsmann said that the performance by Donovan was ‘‘wonderful to watch.’’

The first goal in the game was scored by Eddie Johnson who took a pass from Donovan 11 minutes into the game and then hit a shot past the Honduras goalkeeper Donis Escober.

Up next the American team takes on Panama, after their win over Mexico by 2-1 last Sunday.

Just minutes before the end of the game Klinsmann was ejected for slamming a ball into the ground. At this time a report has been filed with CONCACAF’s disciplinary committee to determine whether or not Klinsmann will be suspended from the final match.
