First Coast News is among a number of news media outlets, including HLN, which are broadcasting video of the De’Marquise Elkins toddler shooting murder trial in Marietta, Georgia.
Today it is expected that the mother of the 13-month old toddler, Antonio Santiago, who was shot in the face by Elkins in Brunswick, Georgia, will take the witness stand.
From its reports, WTLV has been providing video coverage and reports on the trial since its beginning. Now entering into the second week, the state has so far produced a number of witnesses against the teenager Elkins including co-defendant Dominque Lang.
According to reports, Land and Elkins tried to rob the toddler’s mother Sherry West. Elkins then shot her baby, in the face killing him.
Reportedly, the trial had to be moved to Marietta, instead of Brunswick, due to all of the local and national pre-trial publicity.
