– (Pittsburgh, PA) September 28, 2010 Virtual Edge Collaborative, Pittsburgh’s first virtual marketing firm, has recently completed Collegeintheburgh.com, a highly functional new website exclusively created for Pittsburgh college students.
Collegeintheburgh.com is the complete all-in-one resource to make Pittsburgh college students’ lives easy, fun and productive. It contains various sections with dynamically populated, searchable postings that include everything from a full listing of the area’s bars and restaurants and a student book exchange, to a student job finder and off campus housing finder.
Students who visit the site can view nightly drink/food specials and entertainment in the city, buy and sell their used textbooks from/to other local students, find a local part-time job or internship to help support themselves or search for an off campus housing rental.
The entire site was created using the WordPress platform, and fully leverages a cutting-edge WordPress classifieds plug-in, easy-to-use content management system and secure PayPal payment gateway for online purchasing purposes. Future plans include a possible roll out in other major college cities.
Virtual Edge Collaborative’s responsibilities included all consultation, strategy, project management, creative direction, design, programming, copywriting and photography.
“I chose Virtual Edge because they believed in my vision, respected my ideas and impressed me with their rare and refreshing way of doing business. They are extremely passionate about what they do, how they do it and who they do it for,” said Brock Heinauer of Collegeintheburgh.com.
“It’s amazing to me what today’s college student is capable of. First there was Google and Facebook, and now there’s Collegeintheburgh.com. I am thrilled to see this level of ingenuity and determination in our younger people, “said Gregg P. Gantwarg, President and CEO of Virtual Edge Collaborative.
