Tonight at 9PM eastern time, the Science Channel premiers a special episode of its ‘Through the Wormhole’ series, narrated by Morgan Freeman. Tonight’s episode is focused on the efforts of the scientists chasing the elusive Higgs Boson, also known as the “God Particle.”
In this article we have been given some exclusive video (watch here) from the Science Channel, filmed earlier today in Geneva, Switzerland as Morgan Freeman presented world-renowned scientists Joe Incandela, Lyn Evans, and five of their esteemed colleagues the coveted Fundamental Physics Prize for their work researching the Higgs Boson.
According to the information released to us about the show, the “newly revealed data underscores the unpredictable nature of the particle, finding an inconsistency with the Boson’s decomposition into photons. Evidence of the Higgs Boson is not yet completely conclusive, but scientific opinion continues to strongly favor the existence of the God Particle as predicted by Peter Higgs and others in the widely-accepted Standard Model from 1964.”
The full episode of THROUGH THE WORMHOLE: IS THERE A GOD PARTICLE? hosted by Morgan Freeman begins at 9PM ET/PT and will have an encore presentation on March 27 9PM ET/PT on Science Channel.
