At the time of his death, Jackson was reportedly having Dr. Murray give him the propofol as a method of sleeping. Experts have indicated that this type of drug is highly addictive and that as it is used often, it will become less effective requiring a higher dose. Additionally, the drug does not produce restful sleep which the body needs.
The jury will have to decide whether Murray should have given the drug to Jackson so often and whether he is responsible for the death of the performer.
