Kevin Harvick has won the pole position to start in the Southern 500 tonight at the Darlington raceway. Harvick took the pole with a lap at 183.479 mph during the third round of time trials on Friday.
It was Harvick’s first pole win for the 2014 Sprint Cup season in NASCAR and also the 7th time he will get the pole to start a NASCAR race in his career.
Joey Logano will start in second with a qualifying lap clocked at 183.049 mph. The rest of the starting lineup includes, Almirola, Marcos Ambrose, Brad Keselowski, Jamie McMurray.
