Jimmie Johnson, racing in the #48 Lowes Patriotic Chevrolet, has earned the pole position for the start of the Coca-Cola 600 today. Johnson ran a 27.705 second best lap with a speed of 194.991 in qualifying.
Johnson will be followed by Brad Keselowski, and Kasey Kahne, in the top three starting positions. Danica Patrick, racing in the #10 Chevrolet, sponsored by Godaddy will start 4th in Charlotte this evening ahead of Clint Bowyer who starts 5th.
