Today the drivers of NASCAR meet in Homestead for the final race of the season and to determine the winner of the 2014 Sprint Cup Series Championship. Going into today’s Ford EcoBoost 400 at Homestead, four NASCAR drivers sit atop the Sprint Cup Series with 5000 points each. They are Kevin Harvick, Ryan Newman, Joey Logano, and Denny Hamlin.
The next closest driver is Brad Keselowski who sits 2680 points off the lead with 2320 points total. Keselowski will start in 4th position when the green flag drops at Homestead today.
Harvick, Logano and Hamlin will all have an advantage over Newman at the start today as Newman qualified to start in 21st place, while the other three all start in the top 10 for the final race in the chase for the 2014 Sprint Cup Series – the Ford EcoBoost 400.
