After an estimated viewing audience of more than 12 million tuned in last week to watch the premier of the new COSMOS series with Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, millions more are expected to flock watch tonight’s second episode on FOX. In addition to television, millions have also been watching COSMOS online via free live video stream and replays of the previous episodes.
The online video stream of COSMOS is a great option for viewers who can’t get to a television. The show airs new episodes on Sunday nights at 9PM eastern on FOX and also on Monday nights at 10pm on National Geographic.

Millions have downloaded the official COSMOS app to watch exclusive video, a cosmic calendar and other content from the cosmosontv.com web site, operated by FOX.
In all the new COSMOS series is being televised across 10 channels from FOX and NatGeo, in addition to the streamin online video available to watch episodes on tablets, computers and mobile devices.
In addition to the mobile app, the producers have loaded the cosmosontv.com web site with a vast amount of video and other downloadable content, including some great content for teachers. The educational content is designed to help teachers engage their students in science by relating to topics discussed in episodes of the series.
As viewers learned in the last episode, writer, producer and host of the original COSMOS series Carl Sagan, ignited a passion for science within Dr. Tyson when he was just a 17 year-old student. Without knowing it, many years later, Sagan had in fact “passed the torch” of science education to his protégé.
