Watch SpaceX Launch and Mission to Space Station Live Online via NASA TV What will hopefully be yet another successful rocket launch for SpaceX is currently set for lift-off with a cargo mission to the International Space Station on Monday, April 14. Thanks to NASA TV, viewers can watch the SpaceX rocket launch both on television and online via free live video stream.

The launch of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, is part of the company’s Commercial Resupply Services contract with NASA and will carry 5,000 pounds of scientific experiments and supplies to the ISS.

Atop the Falcon 9 rocket, is the company’s Dragon cargo spacecraft, which will be making its third contracted resupply mission to the ISS – the fourth trip to ISS including its initial test flight. SpaceX was awared a total of 12 resupply flights under its current contract.


The Dragon will remain attached to the space station’s Harmony module until mid-May and splash down in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Baja California with more than 3,000 pounds of experiment samples and equipment returning from the station.

The Launch of the SpaceX Falcon 9, and the Dragon spacecraft, is scheduled for 4:58 p.m. EDT, with NASA Television and online video coverage of the launch beginning at 3:45 p.m.

Should anything prohibit Monday’s launch, the back-up date and time are be Friday, April 18 at approximately 3:25 p.m.

A prelaunch news conference can also be seen on NASA TV beginning at 1 p.m., Sunday, April 13, from the Kennedy Space Center and will be followed by a SpaceX science and technology cargo news conference at 2 p.m.

If launch occurs April 14, NASA TV will provide live coverage Wednesday, April 16, of the arrival of the Dragon cargo ship to the International Space Station. Grapple and berthing coverage will begin at 5:45 a.m. with grapple at approximately 7 a.m. Berthing coverage begins at 9:30 a.m.
