With advertisers spending a record $4 million per 30-second ad during Super Bowl 48, the only way to justify the cost is to ensure that the commercial goes viral, earning an even wider audience than the 110 million watching the game.
To help their ads go viral and win the “Best SuperBowl Ads of 2014” war, advertisers have paid close attention to current social media trends and hope to capture that essence in their commercials.
According to reports, FOX will air 40 of the 30-second commercials during Super Bowl XLVIII. At $4 million each, that is a nice amount of ad revenue for the network.
This doesn’t take into account the ads, and associated revenue, which run during all of the pre-game coverage which begins at 12 eastern, 6 hours before kick-off, and the post game Super Bowl broadcast as well.
