This afternoon Houston and Vanderbilt will meet in the 2014 BBVA Compass Bowl. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN. Additionally, ESPN is making it possible for fans to watch the Compass Bowl online through a free live video stream from ESPN’s Gamecast.
ESPN Gamecast gives many online fans live play-by-play updates on the action and has provided internet viewers the ability to watch live online video streams of College Bowl Games – like the Compass Bowl between Vanderbilt and Houston.

Fans can watch the Compass Bowl game using the free ESPN College Football Gamecast online video portal. In addition to watching live game coverage, the web portal also provides up the minute game stats.
Both teams come into today’s game with 8-4 records on the season. Vanderbilt represents the SEC and had a 4-4 record in the conference, and Houston finished 5-3 in the American conference for the year.
Vanderbilt will not have their usual quarterback in Austyn Carta-Samuels when they take the field today. If they can pull off a win over Houston, is will be the first time in their history that the Commodores have won back-to-back Bowl Games.
But Houston will not be an easy win by any means. The Cougars averaged close to 34 points per game this year behind the passing game of and freshman quarterback John O’Korn and Deontay Greenberry who made 76 catches for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Game time for the Compass Bowl is set for 1pm eastern. Live television and online video coverage will be broadcast on ESPN from Legion Field in Birmingham Alabama.
