The live and replay online Oscars video stream includes all of the preshow red carpet action as well as the full awards ceremony, and after the show, the video stream continues with “Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Oscars” also available.
Here’s how to watch the 2014 Oscars online free live video stream and replays
As the network announced on their Oscars web site, “For the first time ever, The Oscars preshow and full awards telecast will stream live for verified WATCH ABC viewers online and on mobile devices.”
To get access to the free online video stream of the Oscars, viewers must have ABC as part of their channel subscription from their cable provider. The app is available for both Andriod and iOS (apple) devices and can be downloaded for free from the Google Play, the Amazon Appstore, and the App Store. When viewers log on to the web or the app, they will be able to logon to watch the Oscars online by entering their login information for their cable provider.
The complete list of providers with eligible subscribers is: Comcast, Cablevision, Cox Communications, Charter Communications, Midcontinent Communications, Verizon FiOS, Google Fiber and AT&T U-verse.
In case you miss the live show, ABC also wrote that viewers will be able to watch replay video of the Oscars. “Once aired, the full Oscars telecast and pre-show will be available on demand via WATCH ABC for verified viewers for three days, through Wednesday, March 5.”
