According to reports, the National Weather Service has issued a severe weather advisory for the Greater Houston area. So far there have been reports of numerous funnel cloud sightings in the area.
The warning from the NWS told listeners that “brief funnel clouds” were a possibility through the early afternoon today. Reports of two funnel clouds have come in so far with one in the area of Katy Texas and the other was near Pearland.
As of yet, there have not been any reports of damage or injuries as a result of the There have been no reports of damage or injuries as a result of the severe Houston weather.
The NWS report indicated that the likelihood of the funnel clouds reaching the ground it low, and that anyone encountering any tornados should contact local law enforcement.
As for the remainder of the local Houston weather forecast, some much needed rain will come in the form of thundershowers expected ahead of a cold front, and lows in the 40’s overnight.
